Default Threaded Windshield Inserts for SG Help

I stripped out one of the brass inserts that came with the SG so i got the threaded inserts from the dealer. Need some advice regarding the threaded insert install. I put three in, but when I install the windshield and ouoter fairing, I have a gap betweeen the outer and windshield to the point where they don;t make contact except where the screws tighten down, almost like it's bowed. Wondering whether the inserts have to go in deeper, or are they out of alignment?

Thanks in advance for the help

Mike

The inserts should stick out just slightly, same as stock. It sounds like your'e windshield is not installed correctly. If it doesn't look right I would loosen all the outer fairing screws and try again, starting with getting the windshield to fit correctly. Remember don't over tighten just snug will do. Hope this helps ya, good luck!
