Well, after my last post looking for more info on this product, I purchased the Kuryakyn run, turn, brake kit tonight and installed it. Pretty much a piece of cake to install... truly plug and play. The hardest thing was making sure the spot where I wire tied the module cleared the side cover, seat, etc.
Put everything back together and it works like a charm. The reason I liked this over the HD version is two-fold. First, and most important for me, was the feature that allows the brakes to blink 3 times when you hit them (you can disable this if you like). If I were to buy the HD kit and a "blink kit", I'd be over the cost of the HD kit and it would be more stuff to splice in, etc... The second reason is that it you can upgrade to LEDs with this kit.
BTW - The red lenses, which you must purchase separately, were something like 2 bucks each. My HD dealer had everything in stock.
All in all, very happy with it... major difference in visibility
You'll really see a difference when you upgrade to LEDs. Talk about higher visibility! Good decision though. Your riding buddies behind you will appreciate it along with the cagers.
