Front brake fluid check ?

Front brake fluid check ?
Bike in riding position window is empty, bike on jiffy stand wheel straight ahead window is 1/2 full, bike on stand wheel turned left window is full. The manual just says check it, nothing about what position so how do you check yours?

Unless you can position it so the reservoir is perfectly level (turning handlebars and possibly loosening housing on handlebar and rotating) looking through the window is not a sure thing. I remove the cover (after leveling it) every 5K service to be sure.
