I purchased this fix AFTER getting the indents and it works. I wish I'd done it sooner!

I bought the hinge stop kit but after installing one side I realized they weren't going to work for me. Obviously the point of them is to prevent the bag from opening far enough to hit the bracket but I found that that the hinge stop kit goes over board and lets you only swing the lid open a few inches (maybe 6-8?). It seemed like it would be a pain in the a$$ to look/reach in the bags. So I took it off and bought the chrome covers. Hopefully they'll prevent the dents.

i went down to ace hardward and got some black chair leg plastic cups. they cover the docking points. only cost a couple of bucks. still gotta be careful to not force the lid fully open.
