Touring seat fitment
So i have read a 2008 SG seat will fit on 2009 bikes, I would assume a 2009 seat will fit on a 2008 bike. I have a 2009 SG seat and a guy told me it will not fit on a 2008 SG> doesn't sound correct.

Take a look at HD's website's Genuine Motor Accessories section, Touring models, then find seats. It will have fitment information for a variety of seats model year compatibility. If a Sundowner, for example, is shown as fitting both 2008 and 2009 model years, you can be confident the SG seats are interchangeable.

I think some stock 09 seats have extra ribs in the seat pan that will not allow them to fit 08. The front slot and rear mount will fit, but you have to cut some of the plastic ribs off the pan. I bought a used 09 seat for my 08 and that is what I had to do.
