I have used many products. I used bug slide as well. It works good. I wont use any degreaser like simple green.

Between washes I use:

In most cases they can be removed with only a few swipes from a California Duster, but love bugs require a bit more effort. It applies a coating that makes bug removal much easier than without it.

Rejex was developed for the aviation industry to make it easier to remove stains (exhaust, etc.) from airplane wings, etc., and it works very well for painted and chromed surfaces, even on the engine, as well as windshields. The gloss is as good as any wax product I've ever used, but application is a bit more involved. Surface temperature must be 85° or cooler and the application can't be subjected to sunlight or water for 12 hours. I just apply it in the garage after dusk in October and April when air temps are moderate, then let it cure overnight.

Here is the cheapest price I found on it, and supposedly some True Value hardware stores carry it, but I couldn't find any in my area.
So you use this stuff a couple of times a year, and all you ever do in between times is wipe your bike off with a wet micro fiber towel? What about bugs baked on by the end of the day? I've got a black bike and I can't believe I could do this without getting swirls and scratches in the finish. What do you do after a ride in the rain. I am really searching on how to keep my black bike looking good with the least amount of time and effort.

Nothing but Dri-Wash on mine. Been using it for 20 years. Only time mine sees water is when I get caught in the rain !!

I will check this out, never heard of REJEX, (know a few however!)..........What color is your bike that you use this REJEX on?
I use it on both the Road king (green/black two tone) and the ironhead (dark red). Color doesn't really make any difference when using REJEX.

I'm glad to see that there is another member of the chuch of REJEX here besides me.

Thats all you do. Apply twice a year and when I want to clean up the bike I just wipe it down with a wet towel. I very recently re-applied REJEX then rode the Road King in the rain. It didn't even get dirty.

Get some REJEX. Your black paint will be fine. Just follow the instructions: clean the bike, apply REJEX, let dry, wipe off, allow to sit for 12 hours. Make sure you don't do this in the sun and keep the bike in a cool place.

You can thank us later.

I use a wet towel and drape it over the fairing and windshield...Go figure the price of water is pretty good by the quart in Greene County here...I buy Cycle wash and put it in a trigger spray bottle, wet the bike and spray the chit all over. scrub the dirt a bit and hose it off...Leaf blower it dry and polish a few spots here and there...I hate washing bikes and don't spend too much time doing it. As long as i can see through my windshield i am ok... We have started to sell more Hydrogen Peroxide product in the Medical industry to clean and disinfect...Works great on just about anything and kills any germs...It's a lot better on the environment also...I a curious about Pledge though plus i love the smell of Lemon....2 in 1???
