Default Quick question for ipod use

I have an 09 Ultra. Has anyone found an adapter cable for the stereo headset plug on the gas tank to convert it to a plug for an ipod? Thank you! Maggie

My I-pod has the 3.5mm jack on it. I am sure that all different I-pods have an adapter available to convert it to the 3.5 mm jack. I have looked for a simple male to male 3.5 mm jack so I can just let it hang by the jack, no luck.

I have this one and use it with the iPod Shuffle. iPod is attached between and above the tach/speedo with a piece of Velcro: http://www.trianglecables.com/3-5mm-1.html Available in different lengths...

Plan to get one of these to attach my Zumo to the HK radio: http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cg...item/SP-SPSC-7

Radio Shack has the male to male 3.5 plugs from 1 foot to 6 feet for $5.49.
That's what I use on the glide; earphone plug on ipod to aux jack in radio and rock and roll!!

I picked one up at Walmart 3.5mm Male on both ends.
It was by the Nintendo DS stuff. I paid $3.99, it's like 24" long.
They had a gold plated plug version as well $15.00, I think it was the real ipod brand.

The headphone jack on every iPod ever made is the same 3.5mm (or 1/8") stereo. Most people just get a 1 foot male-to-male cord and tuck the iPod or iPhone in a windshield bag on the Ultra.

What are you hoping to accomplish by tapping into the communications jack on the tank?

Haven't found that but you might want to check this out http://cyclegadgets.com/Products/pac...p?pkg=ULT-IPOD and also this http://www.sik.com/pimp.php. Also bikertronics sells a radio replacement which will control the I-Pod.

I like the 3.5mm stereo retractable cable so any slack in cable not needed is reeled back up. Monoprice is a great source A/V cable needs !
