I went by the local dealer the other day and they have a 2010 Ultra on the floor that is nice. so I'm talking to the sales guy and he tells me it has after market pipes but no tunner, upgrade hogtunes, add on chrome here and there, and painted inner faring. So how much I ask. He tells me "just a few dollars shy of $29,000". I can not belive that. Maybe I am wrong but that is a ton of cash. Is this a normal price that everyone is seeing out there?

I'm not looking to buy, I was just there killing time and was looking at this cool looking bike when the sales guy walked up. And dont get me wrong I guess this bike was as nice as you can get without going CVO it just floored me at the price when I walk over to all the other ultras and they are around $19,000. Of course that was asking price, don't know how much they would come off of it.
My dealer has a small stock of bikes that they pimp out and charge and arm and a leg for. I guess they sell because each time I go in, there's a new batch of 'em. Sometimes some custom paint, aftermarket exhaust and lot's of chrome -- all at a ridiculous price. I'll bet there is no shortage of people, even in this economy, that have more money than sense, would never read a HD forum and have no interest in ever owning (let alone turning) a wrench.
Yeah, they don't give you crap for "all the extras you install", but they sure want to make sure they jack the price up if you're buying one with extras

Buy a stock Ultra, and you can buy all that stuff yourself. Even if you have the dealer put everything on, you'll be a whole lot less than $29K.
