Can you use too many dyna beads in your tires? I put two ounces in front and two in the rear. Still got a shake in the front at 70mph that comes and goes. I was wondering if I should put more in? Thanks in advance.
Normal application calls for 2 oz. in the rear and 1 oz. in the front. I have 3 in the rear and 2 in the front. Did you remove your exterior wheel weights?
It looks as if you have spoke wheels. Are your spokes tight and trued?
Soos Thanks for the reply. The spokes are tight and true. Checked at the 1000 mile service. I took the weights off when I put the beads in. Bike now has 2700 miles on it. Thanks
I have an 07 streetglide, I put 1 oz in front and the 2 in the rear as recomended works great, I emailed them and asked about the weights and they said it Didn't matter if you left them on or off, You may have a rim thats out of wack or another issue. Just my .02 thats worth about .005
Before I decided to try Dyna Beads I did a little test.
I pulled TWO of my buddys aside and asked them if they knew if they had wheel weights on their rims?
Also how many and where?
Hey!!! these are bikes that get a rag buff every day....you think they would of noticed.
Anyway, they didn't have a clue. So if one of us dropped a weight, we would never know.
That is when I decided to try Dyna Beads.....I have never regretted it.
I guess its possible that its a seperate issue. I have never had a bike shake before this one so my diagnosis could be innaccurate. I took the weights off before installing the beads and I think its a little worse now if anything. I also get a shake on a decel in 6th at about the same speed.
