Default Info Please

Recently got the go ahead from the wife to ditch the 07 DX and get on a new street glide. Haven't done it yet, gonna wait until next year so I can save some money for a nicer down payment. Anyways, I am still undecided on the 2 into 1 exhaust look. For me, a bagger needs both pipes to be balanced. However, if there is a substantial HP advantage to the 2 into 1 I would go that route. I have searched on here but have yet to find what I am looking for. Is there a noticeable advantage with staying with a 2 into 1? I do plan on installing a Heavy Breather when I get this puppy and I would like to get good hp out of it. Thanks all to any info, I will be new to the bagger nation.

I've read that 2 into 1 pipes only provide modest HP improvement as well as some improvement in gas milage. They are usually one part of an overall power upgrade. For me, I prefer the dual exaust look and the small power boost is not worth giving that up.

Default yep on the look

Yes, for me it just doesn't look like a bagger without dual exhaust. If you want the best of both worlds (if 2 into 1 is better) I believe they made a faker pipe for the dual look.

OK, well that answers that question. I prefer the dual look as well, without it, the bike doesn't look balanced. With that in mind, is anyone running the V&H power duals? I like the looks of them with the monster ovals, and they claim a good power increase.
