I am wanting to change out my cams on my 03 King. My father has some SE203s that he give me. His bike is a '01 softtail TC88 with some engine work. We think the cams would work since they are for TC88. But on the cam is says carbed bikes. My bike is EFI. Will the cams work? I dont see why they would not work. Thanks.
If your dad gave these to you did he ever have them in his bike? If so he would be the best one to tell you how they worked for him as you would probaly know more about how he rides to judge how they work.
Minton is referring to an Andrews 21 in this and subsequent articles. As we established last night on the other active cam thread, they may not be the best one for a TC96.
I to have an 03 Road King. I ride 90% of the time 2 up.I installed the andrews 21n cams with rienhart true duals ,Big sucker air cleaner, and a tuner.I could not be happier with the bike. It pulls great from idle to around 75 to 80 mph which is as fast as I care to ride.
i put in the se 255's when i upped my 2007 rk to se 103 kit loads more tq great improvement for 2 up riding and not too bad a horsepower boost 85 hp and 104 tq compared to stock 67 and 82.
Yes, they are from my dad. He has a softtail TC88 and has a bunch of engine mods. Heads, jugs, pistons, compression, etc. so there really wont be much of a comparison to what it would be like for my bike. I was told these cams are a bolt in cam. If that is true, what all is needed to make the switch? thanks.
