I don't have the DXLED09s hooked up as turn signals, all three are brake lights. But you could hook them up as turn signals. If you are going to use them as turn signals you would not need the dual color LEDs. I don't show it in the video but when I flip a switch the LEDs alternate colors. I intend to only use the switch in extreme cases where someone is tailgating so badly I can't slow down or pull over without getting hit. So far I have never used the alternating color, but there have been times in the past when I wish I had something like that. Depending on the second color you choose, it may not be legal, for example blue or white. Amber is a choice and it is legal.
I'll try to get a video in the day light.
Yep, for sure I would be interested in a day light vid to see how ya got these mounted up. Thx!
I installed the BAL on my 09 Ultra in August of 09. The light works as advertised. It bright and visible from 1/2 mile away. It communicates your intension well. The running light has 3 settings (High is best). The brake light has 21 settings that you can reset with a magnet. I highly recommend it.
I love mine! When I ride at night, I start hitting my brakes (I have the two blinking and stop light combo).....If Im stopped and see cars approaching me, I start hitting my brakes over and over, three or four times, cars begin to slow down way before they are near me. Great item.
Had the BAL3-ST installed when I upgraded to my EGUL. I will never go back. I use the mode that strobes 6 times and then holds. Most cars stay way back, even in daylight. I will never go with another tail light again.
I got mine at www.chromeglow.com. If you don't buy it there you have to go to a harley dealer. Free shipping from them over $150. They have promo codes on FB if you're a user. These things are awesome - you can change the flash rate, pattern and intensity with a magnet from the outside of the lens. There will be times when you have people behind you that will want it less bright - they are that bright!
