I use "Z Best Wax" it is pink and leaves no residue on the Bike or windshield.
I have been using it on my bikes, cars and windshields for years, goes on quick no need to wait for it to haze over and wipes right off.
My widshields look great and bugs wipe right off with a damp paper towel.
I use it as a quick-in-between-touch-up, both at home and on the road. Easy and good results. But I don't rely on it for primary protection of paint and/or windshield. What is good about it is the wax that it contains lays down a thin protective barrier to both UV assault and bug guts. What I have seen is that the bees are somewhat more attracted by the lemon or citrus scent when the bike is parked....
Best thing about it: Easy to find and cost-effective.
BG: I have used Lemon Pledge on my windshields and painted parts since 1975. No problems! Works better than most of the above cited products and as well as some. Cheap, available and will cause rain drops to clear the windshield or face shield quicker than anything else. I have had my airplane sit outside all summer long while using Lemon Pledge and never saw anything like 'yellowing'. I am a firm believer in Lemon Pledge. BTW, it works slightly better than standard 'Pledge'. ........... BC
