Novus #1 is the only thing that touches my Klockwerks W/S. When I sold my RKC with 40K+ on it the windshield looked brand new and nobody would believe it was stock. No haze, no scratches.

You do have to go back over and buff it off

deleted--didn't notice how old this thread is.

But yes, I have used Pledge for years, before the days when this thread started.

Used pledge on plexiglass windshield in drag car back in 70's. Eventually put Lexan windshield in and it worked on it too. Worked great then and have used it several times on bike and helmet visor.

I used Pledge for at least a decade until they changed the formula a couple of years ago. With the new formula it does not evaporate nearly as quickly and in cool weather you just end up with a windshield or tank full of "white-gooey slim" (silicon) until it finally evaporates.
Novus No. 1 is probably the best all around windscreen/plastic cleaner on the market. Most Harley stores sell it for $4.95 for a spray bottle. Use it very sparingly and a bottle should last 6 months.

Yes, I agree with you about this wax...use it on my truck...for my black bike, I've been very happy with Meguiars Black Wax...it has a very fine abrasive in it, and it's pretty thick...

Back the windshield, however...I'm not a fan of using other stuff for uses that are purpose specific that work very well...and in this case, Plexus works VERY well for windshields and plastic, also VERY expensive, to be certain. So, there's no need for me to cheap it out with something like Pledge...and I've also heard comments from others about the yellowing over time.

That said, I'm intrigued by the comment that Plexus and Pledge might also be the same stuff...if so, then I'm also of the opinion that if a simple change of the branding somehow justifies a much higher price tag, then I'll go with the cheaper stuff...as long as it's the same!

Would like to hear more about this, for certain!
