Default Oil Drain on 92 EVO

I just bought a 92 FLTCU and want to change the oil and filter. Problem is, I never had one of these before and I do not know where to drain the oil. Somebody please offer some guidance. I looked and looked but I'm fooled to know where the drain or drain line is! I found three oil lines from the oil tank but then what? Also, what is the correct oil filter to get? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Von Zip

The drain hose is on the right side of the bike. At the end of the hose is a plug that is held in place w/ a hose clamp & this plug has a docking station on the lower portion of the frame. An HD oil filter works just fine.

I think you're refering to a softail. I had a 92FLHTC and the drain plug is on the bottom of the oil tank on the right side.

I also found a note on the internet about the softail. It was on a hose with a plug. But I don't have any hoses with a plug. I just looked all over the bottom of my oil tank, and there isn't a drain plug. So, who has more info??

Closest shop manual I have is for 1993 to 1994. If their the same it's on the front left corner of the oil pan, next to a 90 deg. fitting.

bottom of trans is the oil tank, look forward on the tank there is the drain plug. Also on the rightside of the oil tank is the trans drain plug. Get a HD manual. Next time post in the evo section. Hope this helps.
