Ever since I've been on this forum, I've admired your bike...you've done an outstanding job with it! Not to mention, looks like you seriously know how to ride!

Thanks in advance.
As promised, the inner fairing pic, plus a couple more.
Oh, and the painter did the logo...his idea...felt it "needed" something. When I picked up the fairing, he pointed out a little something else he did...if you look REAL close, you will notice one of the 'shadows' is actually a girl riding her bike...hair blowing in the wind. I took a picture & enlarged it so you can see it...would've probably never noticed it if he hadn't told me about it!

Reason: add pics
Damn it, why can't I just hit the lottery.......... Anyone feel sorry for me Can you post up some pics of the inside of the fairing? I'm looking at several different fairings, and I want to get a good feel for which one looks best at home on the RK. Do you get any wind from the gap in the headlight opening?

Edit: Man I type to slow. Thanks for the pics.
I haven't noticed the wind from the gap, but I have noticed how much better the bike handles in wind. Plus, I get less almost zero wind buffeting on my head in strong headwinds. I really got pelted with my windshield - felt like a bobble-head on crack!
Now, for those of you with the eyebrow trim on their headlights, DeadCenter recently found out from another customer this causes the fairing to sit on the light (mine does). This is from a conversation I had with them in late July, before Sturgis. They were in the process of making a new bracket (a tad taller) for bikes with that mod. I'm going to look into those brackets.
Being a chick...plus one who's only been riding a year (~10k miles), I was pretty intimidated with the whole fairing thing...as if my bike doesn't seem huge enough! But, after riding a SG, I discovered it handled virtually the same as my RKC. So, I took the plunge. SO glad I did. I still can't get used to the looks of it with the fairing and I still prefer it in it's stripped down mode, but I ride it more than I look at it, so the fairing won me over. Besides, I can easily take it off when I want to look "cool"!

Yes, it mounts easily on the stock windshield brackets.
The guy I bought the fairing from had a RKC and had mounted this bag himself. He drilled a hole in the fairing and mounted it with a bolt and a wing nut...pretty much like how its mounted on a windshield. You just need to be okay with the idea of drilling a hole through your nice, new fairing!
I had planned on getting the triple bags you see on the larger baggers, but this was how it came and I decided to keep it as is. Being a chick, I tend to carry a lot of crap, so the more bags, the merrier!
Looks great! I like how you worked the colors to limit the white on the fairing. Mine is a red and white color scheme and I just wasn't sure how to do that.
