Is a Dyno needed with Fuel Moto Stage 1 kit? 09 SG
I've searched and found just as many threads saying you should always have it dyno tuned as I have saying Fuel Moto has the pre loaded maps dialed in and no need for Dyno?
Im installing it today and want to know if I need to have it Dyno Tuned after install?
I purchased.... SE Air Cleaner, PCV and Supertrapp SE Slip Ons.
Im worried it will be such a huge improvement over stock that unless I feel something wrong I will assume its perfect without ever knowing if it could be better if I take it for dyno.
Im not looking to race this bike or anything but would hate to leave performance sitting on the table for no reason.
Should have ask Jamie at fuelmoto. I just added stage 1 airkit, v&h pipes and pcv. Didn't have it dynoed. My thinking is would it be worth the cost of having dynoed for the small improvement? Probably would to some people, just not to me. And if you do get it tuned on the dyno, you hope you have someone that knows their stuff. Anyone can hook a bike to a dyno and run the numbers, but you need a good tuner if you go that way.

on my last bike 05 rkc i installed pc-3 pipes and air cleaner mapped by fuelmoto .had it dynoed cost me 345.00 and about 20 runs .the gain or the lack there of. was very minimal .so i now run a pc-5 on my current bike don't think i will spend another 345.00 to gain basicly nothing. even though every bike is different the maps from fuel moto are close enough for the average rider .my bike runs really good and gets around 40mpg good enough for me .
If you have issues such as poor mileage or decel pop that you can't seem to correct even with FuelMoto's help then by all means have your bike custom mapped. My PCIII ran great but my mileage really suffered (38-40 mpg on the highway). The custom map cured it and the bike went right back to 48-49 mpg with no loss of power.
Fuelmoto map here no dyno. I think it runs fine. Only problem is fuel mileage. I can sqeeze out about 37 highway two up loaded. Much worse around town by myself no load......32 or less.
my bike ran great with the canned map from fuel moto, gained 3 ft/bs and 4 hp with a dyno tune. worth it? to me it was but to some it wouldn't be. i have a bike that feels a little crisper than before the tune and i know it is running as good as it could. to each his own.....
