The one from Pep Boys is about Identical to the one from Sears and Costco. There have been a few reports about a bolt breaking and sending the bike to the pavement, but that's been rare. I've replaced my 'made in Japan' bolts with #8 Metric (strongest bolt made) equivalents and have no problems at all. Used it about 8 times in the past year. I feel comfortable with using it.
I just got the Sears Jack $59.00 on sale ..it may still be on sell. I realy like lit , bike (electra glide standard) is very steady...if Im just cleaning I dont even use the straps... I would recommend it to any one.
I have the Sears one about 4 yrs. old. Would be lost without it. Great for cleaning and most servicing.
Always remember to use the safety latch whenever the scoot is in the air. If your storage area is small the jack will allow you spin the bike around in a little more than it's own length. Also, turn it around in the garage and ride out - not walk it backwards.
