I do changes at 3500-4000 engine, 8000-10,000 Primary and tranny. Redline products in all three. "94 FXDS. Probably more often than really necessary, but screw it.

i changed my 01 tranny every 10K for a couple of times. then felt it was a waste draining very clear clean fluid with only a fleck or two of metal on the mag plug. 20K is not unreasonable. many automobiles tell you the manual transmissions never need changing.
