Thanks DAWG, Wish the dealers here in CA followed your lead. Parts guy at my main dealer was going to ask the parts mgr to stock the bearing as they were stocking the isolators.

IIRC, in May 2008 when I last looked at it, the IDS bearing showed some minor movement of the inner race, no more than with any wheel bearing I've inspected in the past, so it didn't raise any red flags with me and I buttoned it all back up after changing the tire. While on the bike I cannot induce any lateral movement in the sprocket at all and there is no visible or audible indication that the bearing is anything but in good health. There is also no longitudinal play in the sprocket that would indicate the bumpers inside the hub need replacing.

I was thinking about replacing the bearing at the next tire change, but if it ain't broke.... It now has about 22k on it and I'm about 4-5k away from another tire change.
Not being a bearing expert not sure how much lateral play in the bearing is acceptable. Mine seems to be a little more than 6K miles ago when I last changed the tire. Service guy at the dealer thought it would be a good idea to replace it. That's if they had one in stock. Since no one had the bearing in NoCal ended up putting in the new isolator with existing bearing. Will wait to either the next E3 tire change about another 7K miles from now or do it as a winter project, unless it lets loose before either of these scenarios

130 torque makes mince meet of the rubber isolaters in about 7000 miles ,at least that is my experience ,bearing seems to be holding up though,of course not one dealer in my area had the rubber isolaters in stock,so I had to put my stock 07 non IDS sprocket back on for a few weeks while waiting for the isolaters.
