Battery charge question???

Well I left my ignition switch on and killed the battery

. I plan on leaving the battery connected to the bike, but the owners manual says to hook the neg terminal charger to a chassis ground and not to the battery. Where is the best ground found on a 2009 road king? I'm tempted to just hook up to the neg battery terminal and be done with it. Just looking for advice. Thanks!

Either way it will work.
You get a faster charge by using a ground.
Any good metal with no paint or run down the ground wire from the battery.

I did the same thing listening to the radio. I went in and forgot about it. I just hooked the charger to the terminals on the battery. Now I keep a tender on it all the time.
