I went with the HD bars they offer the biggest bang for the buck. Wild ones are way to expensive.

Also before I spending big bucks on the seat research a decent car upholshery shop. On my Road King I had them shave, lower and fill in two inches. It cost $60.00 which is fine because I was able to save for a better seat nest spring.

Also get a repair manual used on the board here will save you a bunch.

Take care.

Put the SE bars on my FLHRC and had Alligator Bob modify the seat for me. You should talk to Alligator Bob, he really knows seats better than anyone I've talked to. I don't know the specifics of your injuries but I've had 9 spinal surgeries and I'm able to ride 3-400 miles without to much pain. The seat was worth every penny and the bars brought it back a bit. I'm very happy.

I had a road king before I bought my ultra. I added 4.5 inch pullback risers and used the Heritage Classic handlebars. You are able to pull those bars back and I bet you that you could get those to work. I never experienced back pain with those bars. I was also using a mustang solo seat. I have short arms and this set up worked great.

I put a set of Road King high bars on my 98 classic and it made a world of difference. Only cost me $45. I installed them myself. I was going to suggest you get a rider backrest also but I see you already have one.

Have you tried the little seat and bar horse type fitting device at the dealer? They should be able to put any combination on that for you to try.
