Correct me if I am wrong but I always thought that the lower the center of gravity, the better a bike handeled. My 02 RKC had been lowered before I bought it. My brother in law has an 07 stock. We have traded bikes and we both agree that the lowered bike takes the curves better. I couldn't tell the difference in the straight aways except I was sitting up a little higher.

edit: I don't think mine was lowered 3 inches. Maybe like 1 and a half to 2 inches and did not use blocks but has lower shocks.

i lowered my 02 electra glide 2 inches or middle setting, with right air seems fine, rode 2 up without putting air in shocks and had to put the ol lady on back with a friend.

It looks awesome..With two up the softail standard the rear tire hit the fender and destroy the harness, now my old fatboy was slammed and I am a big guy and never had an issue one up or two up dont matter. I have not lowered my SG yet but I might in the future when I get my 21/18 combo....

if you have problems installing parts on your motorcycle, id be more than willing to lend a hand doc.

ill keep a close eye on the wiring issue- hopefully ill be ok. so far so good though.

and Texas- "I just don't get lowering a bike for looks, but then that's just me"? you have a street glide in your sig. the street glide is lowered 1", for looks.
So its ok to say 'Retard' but some guy says he "got jewed" in another thread and he gets bashed and flamed and called a bigot?

I put progressive rear shocks on my bike. Spent a little extra money for the piece of mind. I have had no issues.
