(cant go wrong with the HogTunes speakers) Welcome to the forum!
I did the Biketronics Retro Radio set up using the Sony GT400 radio .. I also added the XM Satillite radio module for an extra $99 buck. It comes with HogTune speakers too. The Sony also plays MP3's and WMA's .. so you can add a couple of hundred tunes to a CD (depending on the length of the tunes of course) so you can have hours of music at your finger tips all controlled by the original HD handlebar controls. Good Luck!
Definatelly go with ethe Biktronics kit...They have a great deal on a kit...just be sure you tell them you want the HogTunes speakers....I didnt and they send some others...a phone call fixed it, but cost me some time.....Installs in about a hour.....
I believe Sony and Pioneer are the only ones that work with the Biketronics kit. There is another kit out there that might allow more, but from what I saw of it, it requires splicing the wires yourself (the biketronics kit is pretty quick and simple to install).
I went on the Biketronics Retro Radio site to look at the $99.00 XM satillite radio module. All I found was the sirius I have an 06 Ultra and want to add the satillite radio However harley wants $495.00 for the unit plus a wiring harness.
I sent Biketronics an email to see what they have will work... Its a lot less cash
