Try H-D part #58121-85B chrome wind deflector $69.95, and Part #58502-80C Soft lowers for engine guard $37.oo may do the trick on the cheap, and a lot less than a dragonfly fairing.

No need to get rid of the RK. Just add fairing lowers and a taller windshield to the RK, and buy a heated jacket and gloves if you want to stay even warmer.

You are actually getting a wind riding a motorcycle in the winter? And its cold? I'm sure there's a warranty malfunction in there somewhere.

Well, there are a couple of options that might offset selling a beautiful bike. I personally use a wind repellent like this one on cool damp summer evenings:

During the winter I prefer something a little more manly. I haven't had an issue with wind, cold, rain or snow since I started wearing this:

My wife even has her own wind repeller for riding 2-Up. She doesn't feel any wind either.

soft lowers are a cheap and easily removed way to cut a lot of the wind. I think msrp is about $60 and they work.

+1 On the above. I also have the tall windshield. Keeps me much warmer and almost dry in the rain at interstate speeds.

I always feel that question is like a double edged sword. The batwing will give better protection to the rider but the sharknose will give you a beter ride in the wind in regards to handling.
I wish I can combine the two but life is full of compromises.

I use a Longrides for the top, chaps and boots for the bottom, Budweiser's and Corona's for the mid section.

The chrome wind deflectors seem like a good idea but do they interefere with air flow to the engine and impact engine cooling? Should wind deflectors be removed in warmer weather to aid engine cooling?
