I picked up my new RKC yesterday and she is in the garage where my '05 Heritage used to be (Edmo gets misty eyed...). Some of the parts from the wrecked Heritage will fit, but after digging into every compartment I couldn't locate where the add-on siren for the factory security system plugs in. I dug through all of my paperwork and although I keep everything neat & tidy, I can't find the instructions for mounting the darn thing.
I'm just one cannon plug away from annoying the neighbors with accidental alarm activations...
OBTW, other than the stock pipes and intake sounding like a 1970's VW beetle I think I'm going to like her. Pipes go on order after the 4th.
The siren module fit into a recess behind the ECM on my RKC. If I remember correctly, you pull the right cover, unbolt the ECM and right under that part is where it fits. Hope this helps. If not, let me know and I'll pull the instructions.
Here is where it is on an 06 Ultra and I assume they are the same. Pull the right side cover and there should be two 7/16 nuts on the bracket that holds the ECM. The siren sets in there behind the ECM bracket/plate with the speaker part of the siren facing out from under the bracket. The wiring connection is right there. Did mine in about 15 minutes from the time I walked into the garage and out again.
