Yep. I keep my whitewalls clean by putting the bike on the jack and giving them a scrub with SOS or Brillo pads. Its a little bit of extra work, but they always come out looking like new.
Wide Whites all the way. Yes they are a bit labor intense to keep clean but its the look that counts. I just love the way they make the touring bikes stand out.

All depends on the bike. My bike just wouldn't look right without them, but my buds Cobalt RKC looks great with blackwals. If you like the look of WWW the first thing you need get yourself a good brush, stiff bristle, fits your hand, easy to use, proper angle. The right tool for the job makes all the difference. You'll probably end up with a few you wont use before you find the right one. Then get a bottle of Westley's Bleche White. The whole process adds 2 minutes to my cleaning routine.
