Hey Rags your Ultra looks great with the black walls. When my tires need changing I will get black walls on my RK standard .I think they look better but the Classic always looks great with the whitewalls.

I agree, the Classic needs www's. I have Sierra Red hardbagger and I'm leaning more towards the black walls.

I have a RKC and I love the Wide Whitewalls. The key to keeping the Whitewalls looking good is clean them on a regular basis. One you let road grime, oil, tar and other foreign matter collect on your tires, the harder it will be to clean. I have been using Simple Green. I have a touch of ECD anyhow so it make it easy for me to clean my tires and the bottom of my bike often. We were just talking about that on another thread.

I like thin whitewall tires.

heck, I've got one of each. I put a new E-3 on the back about 10,000 miles ago without changing the front. AND....although no one has ever commeted to me about the look...it's driving me crazy. Love the e-3...but need a white wall on the back.

Whenever anyone says something nice about my bike, its either because of the WWW's or they're mentioned as part of the whole package. I find it hard to believe that someone would not want them because they say they're a PIA to clean. They do take a little time but I bet the white part of the tires take all of 10minutes of a 1 to 1.5 hour wash, dry and wax. The key, IMO...is to have a motorcycle jack which makes the entire wash 100% easier.

Quick wipe with a damp Magic Eraser and the tires look brand new again.
Exactly!

Blackwall for me, hate cleaning that white strip. Don't have a jack and can't afford one right now.
