Project King Electra
When I started looking my intent was to buy a Heritage. But a fairly intelligent salesman got me looking at touring bikes and I ended up buying a Road King. In retrospect I probably would have been better of buying a base electra but didn't like the all silver engine. Also I couldn't afford a fully loaded electra.
The bike was purchased with the 4 point docking system and a passenger back rest for the wife.
The bike has hand numerous changes in the four months I've had it and is very near the bike I have always wanted.
The first mods included a Sun dower seat a set of Kuryakyn floor board relocation's and a set of Heritage style handle bars this got the bike where it was comfortable to ride.
Then follows an after market tour pack, Fairing and a set of HD fairing lower.
I have also installed a Power Commander V, a stage 1 air cleaner and a set of down slash Jack Pot mufflers.
So, other than the gauge pack the the Electra has the bike is pretty much everything I want it to be. All the major items are done. Everything else is small items such as foot pegs and grips.
The major advantage of the Road King Is it is a convertible, it can be what ever bike you want it to be that day by pulling items off or putting things on.
Here are some pictures of what I call King Electra

Figured I could strip it down when ever I wanted to, for a more versitile bike with alot of personallity.
I bought an EGC now since I really never took the stuff back off!
