If you want a handheld mic for the CB you have to purchase it, they give you one headset and the CB is used via the rider headset.
I think this is important...
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT PAY FOR THE SECOND HEADSET!!!!
They are crap, I got my dealer to throw in a second one for free with my deal. They sound horrible, I don't think it was worth the time, energy, or oxygen I expended begging them to throw it in on the deal definatley not worth any amount of money. Go get a set of J&M headsets, don't forget to get the correct cord.
I've used the HD Handheld mic for about 4 years - works great. I didn't like the HD bracket, so I bought a universal cell phone bracket and stuck it on my dash, to the the left of the speedo. Works great and gets the mic away from the bars.
I don't leave my mic connected all the time....only put it on when i'm riding with a group or on long runs.
I like the suggestion of using a cell phone mount for the mic... how did you mount it? anyvbody got similar type mounts? I am not to wild about the HD bar mounting...
