Default touch up paint

I am looking to touch a few scratches on my 2009 Ultra. I am looking at color-rite paint because my dealer is telling me that the paint is on back order ????? anyway how does Color-Rite paint stack up against the HD paint and do I need to but a primer and clear coat on ????

Thanks Be Safe JIM

how bad are the scratches? What color(s) are we talking about? Generally speaking I use H-D touch-up for chipped paint followed by clearcoat. If a scratch is light enough you may be able to use clearcoat only and then use very fine (6000 range) paper (wet sand with a block) to smooth surface followed by buffing. I just bought a new bike (always had black before) and I actually made my color choice partly based on my expectation of being able to make repairs (black lower, fire blue pearl upper two tone - not expecting chips in the upper color).

You don't say what color your bike is. If it's Vivid Black then you have nothing to worry about. I'd be worried about color match with any other color.
