Change Oil, use amsoil oil in all three. Use the amsoil gear oil in the trans and gears. Use the amsoil motor oil for the engine. My bike responed to the oil change in a big way. It runs and shifts great. I am really please with it.
That would be a good picture of that bike if'n you was not on it.[sm=deal.gif] Been using Amsoil since 98 good oil. You get what you pay for. Keep that bike looking that way. And enjoy it.
Great looking ride you got there callieblue, but to the Amsoil issue, I am currently running it in the engine and the primary, I didn't need to change the tranny out yet due to the mileage but I have Mobil1 75w-90 in it and it shifts great, but the oil has went up where I buy it, it's now $8.95 a qt [&:], they'll get it one way or another.
Thanks Tn.Heritage, and you are right the Amsoil is also very high price. But I notice how different it shifts and runs. Very happy, and so far worth it.
If you guys want to save some money on Amsoil, join their Preferred customer program. This program will provide you with pretty good discounts instead of paying retail. The cost of the program is $20 a year! I've been doing this program now for over four years. And, like to buy oil at cases at the time, and save money!
About the primary oil, Amsoil used to recommend the 10w40. But, with the new 20w50 oil, you can use it in all three holes.
ORIGINAL: callieblue

I am riding a 99 Electraglide Police bike with about 49K miles. I have heard horror stories about Amsoil turning bikes in to a leaking nightmare if it was used on a higher milage bike. Is it true?
