okay someone please tell me about the downloadable upgrades for the unit, are the virus free? are they worth it?
And would someone please tell me why i can't play mp3 discs on my new unit?
Generally folks update to get the latest features and fixes from previous software versions .. I don't have the HK radio on my ole Road Glide so I can't speak re: why your MP3's don't work. I did show one of my riding buddies last weekend that the new '06 radios do in fact play MP3's .. he wasn't aware of it. I took an MP3 disk out of my Biketronics Retro Radio setup, stuck it in his radio and it played just fine. Maybe your problem was with the way the MP3's were burnt to the CD .. I use Roxio to burn my MP3's to CD and they work great. Hope you figure it out ... gotta love putting a couple of hundred MP3's on a CD!! Good Luck!
I'd be happy if I could get my 06 to play the CD's. Radio #1 reprogramed, no fix. Refurbished radio installed, no fix, repprogram # 2 no fix. Radio #3 on order. Another refurbished radio.
So far my HK radio is a piece of C*@p
Mp3 has been least of concerns
Thanks for the info on downloading with Roxio
I was told when I recieved 2nd Hk radio and the latest update that mp3's were a problem being addressed.
Nice to know that some one found the right combo to make it work.
The MoCo contracted HK to build a better radio with more features They must have left out the part where the radio and the features actually had to work!
