My Gerbing Jacket and gloves just arrived tonight so I'll be looking to test ride them this weekend, only problem is the temps have been in the upper 70's here, lol I love when a plan comes together.
I did test the coat and gloves over at a friends garage tonight, and they are HOT, man I would say less than 10 seconds and you can feel the heat building. I will get some photos posted ASAP
When I first saw this post - I thought - why even waste time here.. just call Gerbings... they have the best service and their clothing is warranty is for life - I have had ours for right at 10 years.... it has gone back once for wire problems - the people at Gerbings are great... Glad to hear your problem is fixed....
We rode over the albuquerque Sandi mountains last April - 35 degrees and an hour of snow fall - we both were as warm as two bugs in a rug....
Update... I received two new jackets and one controller yesterday. They were supposed to send two controllers. Another phone call and they immediately shipped the second controller. Even though I was very disappointed last week when everything failed, I am very impressed with their customer service. This weekend I get to try out them out again!
On a recent trip my HD liner (made by Gerbings), Gerbings gloves, and single controller blew the bike's 15A ACC fuse after working for about 20-min. Replacing the fuse gave it another 30 sec. of running time, then it blew that fuse. Against my better judgement I bought a 20A fuse at an auto-parts store and it worked for another 35 min. without incident, and I didn't use the combo again.
I called Gerbings and they were sure the problem was the liner and gave me an RMA to send it in. FWIW, they provide a lifetime warranty for HD-branded products like those with the Gerbings brand. I wasn't content sending only the liner and returned the whole caboodle to them for testing. So it'll be a while before I get a verdict on this.
Try the heated insoles, man do they feel good! When it's really cold I like to stay tethered to my bike, don't like to stand around much without being hooked up!

In order to get the full effect you have to be running your bike's charging system.
Gonna be shopping for some heated gear soon. It's not always just about the sale (price) but about service after the sale. This post convinced me who to go with, thanks
