When cleaning up all of the web sites I save to my favorites (100's) I came along this one http://www.thecyclexchange.com/trudualconv.asp Anyone know anything about this company or try the True Duals conversion kit with their current setup? I have SE Slip ons, air cleaner and download and was considering Rhinehart TD's but $700 compared to $200 I'm wondering what the diiference is?
Can't say I've heard of them. I guess I would have to ask about fitment, chrome quality, warranty, testimonials, etc. Until they can establish good reputation, it's always good to ask a lot of questions.

"Ya get what you pay for" I assure you that the difference is going to show up when you least expect it. and like BH says "you still have to buy mufflers.
TCX has developed a simple fix for the cross over pipe on your bagger.
With the TCX kit, you use all exsisting hardware. There is no need to cut or drill. The kit uses the exsisting mufflers.
You get a new rear bend and a straight for the front head.
New heatshields are included to give it the factory look.
All products are chromed and ready for installation. Installation is approx. one hour.
I'd say it's a pretty cool option. Only 200 bucks to remove the major complaint (heat from the crossover)? Bargan in Harley dollars....

You can get the same thing on ebay for as low as $139, but as said you get what you pay for. A buddy got this set up, you have to flip over your exsisting heat shields and the pipes are not chrome, plus you have to use clamps to hook the pipes in, prone to leaks! For a few $$ more from Samson or V&H cost is around $265 you can find these on ebay and a much better system, I got the V&H nice fit and all new 1 piece heat shields but no mufflers, you could use your exsisting mufflers.

Exactly.
The kits I've seen on ebay use the stock heat shields So you end up with a 2-piece heat shield on the right side of the bike with a joint right in the middle. If the conversion from The Cycle Xchange comes with new heat shields, I think it would be a plus. Just have to ask them to be sure. These guys are building exhaust systems for Dave Periwetz so I'm guessing the quality is pretty good.
But when you can buy V&H head pipes from Eastern Performance for about $240, it does make you stop and think which way to go.
Ok, I did go to the web site and I have to point out the obvious....nice crisp and clear color shot of the before and crappy, dark photo of the after. It may be a quality piece but the marketing aspect sucks and it appears they don't want you to have a good look at the finished product. Spend the 40-60 extra and get V&H Dresser Duals or if costs isn't an issue a full 2-2 system.
