Also, are folks buying the Corbin Saddle Cream? or using something else? if something else, what exactly? (hopefully something I can get local at an auto parts store)
I dont have leather seats right now so hasn't been an issue; haven't had to treat anything leather in awhile.
I've got some of the Corbin Saddle cream but I mainly use Fiebings Saddle Soap and Fiebings Aussie leather conditioner. Get it at the Farm & Fleet in the tack section.
What kind of 'wait' specifically? (a month? 2? 3?)
Also, what if the seat has an issue, do you have to go through Queen City HD to resolve it? or thru Corbin?
Specifically wondering about my 2008 Ultra and if this will move me back some from stock? or can request to be moved backwards etc.
Also wanted a layer of slightly less hard foam put on top? (have read some folks request that as Corbins are hard?)
Thanks again.
I ordered mine direct from Corbin, because I had some custom ideas (off the stock sheet, but wanted it to look like I wanted it to look). Showed up at my door 10 days later. I couldn't be happier.
I, too, was worried about the hard foam, and it IS harder than the stock foam. BUT it conforms to your backside SOOOO much better, I don't really notice it. Best seat I've ever owned (and I've tried a few).

No need to buy their stuff, but it isn't outrageously priced either for saddlesoap. Your call.

yea I called and the 20% is valid, but she had no details on specifics on the seat so had to call Corbin directly to talk to a tech to ensure they could move me backwards some among other details about the seat- the covering style/stitch etc.
After some of the details it seems like a hassle to involve the HD Dealership now despite any discount?
If there's a seat issue (warranty etc) in talking to the lady at the HD dealer, I'd have to call 'them' to remedy it, not Corbin. I guess I'm not sure if having a middleman is worth it.
If the seat were just an off the shelf seat (like a Hammock or Sundowner), I wouldn't care as those are not customizeable like buying from Corbin (or other company)

while that is all true, she seemed to have better luck than me, contacting, and getting a reply from Corbin than I did, but like I said, I ordered in the off season,. I think there is advantages, disadvantages ordering it from either one,. Your call tho

if I were doing an off the shelf seat w/ no mods, I'd go through her.
I worked w/ Marty in Florida and ordered last Friday. Will see when I get it.
2008 Ultra, bastard year for the Ultra Classic, hard to find a seat for it that fits and is comfortable. not all 09-13 seats fit it.
