Call me ignorant but here goes..... I have a set of Bub slipons with the SEAC and the powercommander V. I was told that i have basically stock bike. That i don't really even need the PC. Also, that there is a Cat in the headpipe that is restricting the real performance of the bike... Is this true info? and if it is so should i replace the head pipe?
If yours is a '09, you don't have a cat in the headpipe. The 2010 touring models all have a catalyst in the headpipe. I can see the one in my '10 Ultra Limited after I took the right side muffler off. If you check FuelMoto's web site, you'll see that their dyno tests didn't show any difference between runs when using the cat in the headpipe or not.
Your 09 bike does not have a catalyst in the headpipe. In 09 the only bikes that had them were the California models and CVO bikes. Furthermore although they greatly increase radiant heat and engine temperatures, the catalyst is actually only a minor restriction and actually flows pretty well. It is also very difficult to remove, the headpipe must be cut apart, de-cored and rewelded. Our testing has shown little performance gain by removing it on a stock 96" motor.
Thanks to you guys for that quick information on this. I was asking a local indy guy if he did dyno tuning and this is the info he gave me... as far as i'm concerned he won't be getting my business for giving me this misinformation.. i am very happy with my setup but was thinking maybe a dyno tune is in the works for my bike after a cam upgrade.. anyway, thanks to Jamie for chiming in also...

Speaking of cams, we are going to do some cam testing next week on our 09 bike. I will be sure to post the details.
