I will tell you that ethanol separates quicker with 2 stroke oil in the fuel mixture. For that reason Seafoam and others state to use double the amount in the fuel mixture.
Not to mention that running premix oil in your fuel effectively leans an already lean mixture particularly with a carbed bike and that not all premix oils are compatible with ethanol.

all of ours around here is 10% blended fopr the most part.
I don't think separaion would be an issue on my bike as teh fuel lasts anywhere from 3 hours to 2 days for me.

I'm more concerned about the separation before I buy it..not a lot of folks around here buying 91 Octane.

also be careful which additive you use with ethanol blends.

Many are alcohol based and will significantly increase the percentage of alcohol in your fuel.

i had a link and lost it..I'll go search..

I usually fill at the same station here. It's cut with what states on the pump, " Up to 10% Ethanol".

The best you can get here is 91 at most stations. The one's that are with the Ethanol are higher, and there are only 2, (Husky and Mohawk) are at 94 for their premium gas.

I haven't noticed any ill effects with using Ethanol in my bikes. I do see different mileage figures ( liters burned vs. Km traveled) with them in my trucks. Then again I'm not using premium in them. Only the bikes.

I work on the refinery's that produce gas for all of Western Canada, and only 1 of the 4 plant that make gas use Ethanol.

Whats a liter and a Km? I don't understand. And why do you have an avatar with people pushing yoru Harley down the road. Is it broken?

kidding

I havent' noticed any negatives with the way my bike runs, however, I have never put 100% real gas in it either. Just can't find that in these here parts. I hope I never do find it and notice a difference. It will likely upset me.

Getting harder and harder to find gas w/o 10% ethanol, even out west here. What you want to stay away from is the E-85 or flexfuel as it's called.I definately notice a drop in power and mpg with the ethanol.

I guess us East Tennesseeans are lucky! The Ethanol gas blends are being phased out by more and more gasoline dealers! My 09 ultra picks up 4-6 MPG when I run real gas and as a bonus most of the premium pumps say 93 octane for the non blended fuel!

I think it is best to go with any of the top tier stations with their highest octane rating: http://www.toptiergas.com/index.html

With that said, I spent $1200 fixing my car because of E10 fuel separation and gunking resulting from using Shell gas. I researched fuels at the time and discovered Exxon/Chevron had the highest quality control standards, where they try to ensure fuel at their pumps do not exceed the 10% (mandated by state governments). Haven't had an issue in any of my three vehicles ever since I made the switch.

I wish these dumb lawmakers would consider the average guy when setting policy! Mandating E19 without regard to consequences is plain dumb.
