Default need help with Adj. backrest

I got an adjustable backrest used with no directions. Where does the lever go. I am guessing the left side, do I have to drill holes or is there one somewhere. 2008 FLHTC

Probably not much help but on my 09 I placed it up under the left side stock heat deflector. Can't see it and it's easy to get to..

THere should be a hole in the frame on the bottom just under the front of the seat, you will need to tap the hole, the kit came with a self taping bolt but it would not cut the metal, what parts do you think you are missing?
Terry
Edited to point out, if you look at my sig picture just above the exaust, and just behind and down a little of the tank you can see the lever.

Go to Harley's web site. Almost all accessories now have a PDF instruction sheet available. I use them before getting in over my head on any new accessory purchase and installation.

I was in that same boat. Once I got my backrest adjusted where I wanted it, I just put the lever in the left side hard bag. No plans to adjust again any time soon. Been there for 2 or 3 months, no problems, no leaks in bag either.
