I bought a used bracket off eBay for $90 shipped for the adjustable backrest. Being used did not come with instructions. I went to HDs website as they normally offer the instructions for the accessories in PDF file but do not on the rider adjustable backrest. Main thing I need to find out is how the adjusting lever bracket mounts and best way to route the cable. I looked where I thought it goes but do not see the holes I need. If some one would post pictures or a PDF file of the instructions. Thanks!
I had the dealer install mine when I got the bike so I don't have the destructions. If you do a search I know you'll see pics because I remember seeing some recently.
Thanks that gives me sort of an idea but mine is a 2002 and some different. From 1997 to 2008 is what I need. 09 and up frames are different. But I do thank you.
Thanks all for the input and PM. I only received the bracket today and so far only took a quick look at my frame. I am sure I will figure it out instructions would just make it easier. I did send a PM to the recommend member and hope I hear back. I do not have the backrest yet just the bracket so there is no hurry. Being as hot as it has been I am not riding much except the places I have to go. Bike is my main means of transportation. AC does not work in my old car and it is hotter to ride in then on the bike unless I am setting still. LOL
THANKS!
Jeff
