Performance Setup on 07 Road King Classic

Performance Setup on 07 Road King Classic
Looking for a little help guys. I just traded my 08 FXD in for a stock 07 Road King Classic (I still think it was a good upgrade) but the Dyna had a SE heavy breather, S&S slip on mufflers and the SERT tuner. It sounded great and was reliable.
The stock Road King just isnt cutting it for me now, I need to upgrade. I wanted to get some feedback from somebody who has a good sounding and reliable setup with a touring bike. I want to stick with slip on mufflers because of budget limitations but im not sure I need the SERT tuner for such a small modification because they are expensive. Any advice?
I was thinking along the lines of Rhinehart slip-ons, SE stage 1 air cleaner and something cheaper that works for creating a map or adjusting the fuel intake. Thanks for your time

I have the Tru-Duals on my 07 FLHRC and they look and (more importantly) sound great. I am told that if you just use the slip ons that the Black end caps on the exhaust will discolor (usually purple) unevenly since the right pipe handles most of the exhaust. BTW also have the stage 1 and PC III. I'm very satisfied and the bike has no heat problems. I think you'll be happier with the look and performance of the TDs over the slip ons. Good luck either way.
