Just curious how many people use their rides for everyday errands. Running to the post office, bank, hardware store, (assuming whatever you buy fits in the bags) or even to get some groceries. I've been thinking about getting an flht i am wondering how practical it may be as an errand runner. Right now all that stuff gets done in my pick up. I was ******** some milk and a few other provisions last night and was looking around the parking lot. Seemed like a bike would be kind of vulnerable in such a situation. There was no way to ride the bike up onto the curbing in front of the store either. If i get a road bike i would like for it to be an everyday ride. not just a weekend or after work toy. As a look around tho i keep think .... "not too sure i'd want to park my bike around here"
I haven't started my car since May 6th, and probably won't till late October. I use the ride for everything. I haul groceries, beer, scuba gear and even had some lumber strapped on it to take to the cottage. Yeah, I got some looks on that one???
Use the King for sorts of travel from long distance trips to around town. Wife and I go grocery shopping, keeps the bill down, and only buy the necessesities.
I've only had mine two weeks and I constantly fill the bags with stuff. I've taken it to home depot to pickup stuff for my Bathroom Remodel. My only other vehicles are a 2001 Mustang Gt and a 2001 Corvette Z06, those won't carry much more than the glide.

Tie downs really work!
Any idea how you could strap a road racing bicycle to the back of an flht?? I think it would be kind of cool to show up at a bike race on a bagger!! Plus i could use the HD for some motor pacing!!!
hmmm i wonder how well it would tow my dirtbike???
Nothing better than the look on people's faces when you put the dozen eggs and a gallon of milk in the "trunks"!!!
My favorite place to go on errands is the crab house! YUM... Have to rinse the bag out after that, but I get home with the crabs good and hot, and get a nice ride out of it in the process. No b*tching about going to the grocery store for little stuff now! A lot of the places in DC are much easier to get to on the bike. I don't care for the traffic, but several restaurants/bars that I go to like to have the bikes out front. So, free easy parking? One of my favorite benefits... As soon as mine is out of the shop, I will be hitting the road.
