I am going to install my Progressive Link tonight. Anyone have any tips/recommendations on anything before I start this? Looks fairly simple I do all my own wrenching except for engine internals so I SHOULD be ok. Thanks in advance.
Progressive Link is installed and WOW I am impressed. Took me about an hour and half. I had to take my exhaust loose but not off. That was the hardest part. Everything else was a breeze. Got it all buttoned back up and went for a ride. I felt a slight increse in vibration, but IMMEDIATLY I could feel a difference in the handling. As I turned left out onto the street I have to lean in the turn hard because of the angle of our driveway It felt tight. I pulled the ears back and rolled on. about 1/8 mile out the road it curves left pretty hard and I rolled through the curve and guess what NO WOBBLE!!!!! I was stoked. Got on the interstate and ran it up to 95 and straight as an arrow. No shake, no wobble, felt much safer. I am very pleased. I feel other than the gear drive and cams, this is the best money I have spent on my bike. Everything bolted right up so engine and transmission are in line. I attached a few pics. Thanks guys for the input I feel good about this one.
its really hard to tell cause of the fuzziness of your pics and the extreme close up angles, but you might want to double check your heim joint mounting. according to the posted video, the end with the visible threads mounts toward the tranny. looks like yours is backwards.
Looks like I got prematurely excited again. Your right Skratch. That bugs the crap out of me. I'm going to the garage right now.
