Default Looking for a good Jack

Guys I am looking for a good jack to lift my 07 flhx. I have been reading some reviews and sears seems to have couple that are good. Was wondering what some of you guys use or suggest. I dont really want to spend $300-$400 on a jack like the pitbull. I am looking at the craftsmen professional and the black widow from discount ramps (which is on sale right now). Thanks

The Pitbull and the J&S jacks are, indeed, very high quality jacks. And, given the amount of money we have spent on our motorcycles, another $300 - $500 seems not to be significant in the big picture. That being said, there are a number of jacks that will do the job, for both servicing and routine cleaning at a much lower price

I researched quite a few jacks and finally settled upon one sold by Kragen Auto Supply. Attached are two pictures of my 08 FLHR on it. I paid about $90.00 a year back. So far so good!

Hope this helps.

Definitely don't want to trust your $20,000 scoot on a cheap lift. Pitbull & J&S are worth the extra$$$. A few of my friends bought the Sears jack & they all returned them - just not engineered well.

this one is on-sale at Harbor Freight today for $139, and all the bike mag's have a coupon for an additional 20% off. It's a really nice jack, especially for that price.

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=94715 did I mention it's aluminum? And those "extensions" are removable.Pop right off.

Just a thought. When the bike is on the jack a wider footprint will always be more stable. I have the J&S jack,my friend borrowed it one time, a week later he had one in his garage too. My scoot is worth the extra money to sit on a great jack.

I am on the fence between a Pitbull and a J&S. Pitbull lifts 7" higher than the J&S. Both very good jacks. $30,000 on the bike $300-400 on a jack seems reasonable. Had the chaeper jacks already, just not consturcted as weel. Don't get me wrong--they work but are they as stable and is the quality control as good?? I don't want to find out the hard way.
