I was wonder what your all thoughts are on this. If they work like a regular filter I can see this would pay for itself and keep me from tracking down a filter when I'm ready to change my oil.
No way for me! There is no way a screen mesh can filter as fine a filter element. The other useless item is the magnet in the filter. What is the major component in the engine? aluminum...not going to pick up on a magnet. The only thing it may pick up are cam bearings.
Oil filter "cheapness" has never made sense to me on any vehicle. Folks spend $20K for a motorcycle or up to $50-$60K on a car or SUV and then try and "save" money on a friggin $10.00 oil filter.
They are superior to a stock filter. I have one on my bike. Not that brand. Mine is a KP. Might want to check those out. I went with the chrome one.
We use the same style filters in the turbine engine world. You will hear a lot of comments saying "not on my bike". Think about it and see if it makes sense to you.

I just go to the auto parts store, and load up on WIX filters, when I buy oil and stuff.... 2-3 oil changes sit on the shelf waiting on me....
Ain't like I'm gonna go broke buying oil filters...... of sourse, I get 3 black filters, for the price on one "chrome" filter..... guess, I'm a poser???

Your not a poser. Two each his own. You do your own maintenance, you might look at the links I posted above. They really are better than a mass produced filter, both in operation and quality.
