My dad put the E3's on his Wing and he complains about the noise. However, his bike is so quiet he'd be able to hear a squirrel fart when he rode past it too so any noise is "too much noise".
I've still got the E2's and can't complain. I was hoping they'd make the dual compound tires (the ones that are stock on the new Ultra's) in my size but they aren't out yet.
If the Motor Company had put E3s on the pre 09 bikes no one would be selling aftermarket stabilizing kits. I had one of the more popular stabilizing systems on my 08 Street Glide for 20,000 miles or so. I finial took it off because the added vibration was getting on my nerves. A couple of thousand miles later I put an E3 on the rear and it made more of a difference in handling than the brace did.
By the way, if anyone is interested in a used Bagger Brace I have one Ill sell you for $75.00 and Ill pay the shipping.
I'll take that Bagger Brace - my neighbor has wanted one since I got mine, but he's a little short on cash. I'll buy this one and leave it on his doorstep....
I put E3's on my 03 Ultra thi spring, and couldn't be happier. So far I have over 12000K miles this year. The front tire has plenty of tread. I'll replace the rear at the start of the 2010 riding season.
My bike handles fantastic, great traction, no noise??? what noise??
My wife and I rode from Maine to western ohio again this summer. The ride back was horrible. I have never ridden in shuc hard rain for two days. I never felt like traction was a problem.
The 402's I had were ok, well, if ok is all you expect. I barely got over 5,000 miles on the rear tire. Traction and handling wasn't as good as the E3's. I'll be buying another set.
They ain't that great on dirt or gravel. I know cause I gotta ride in that stuff every day to get to or from home. Went back to the Metzlers. They're the best for my flat tracking needs! Still got one E3 that I swapped over to my Evo on the front. Still better than the 402's. I think I got about 10k out of the rear E3.

I've got the 402's on my Ultra and after reading these posts, I would like to try the E III. Do you have to change as a set or can I start out with the rear and swap the front when it is ready or do I have to change both at the same time?

I changed just the rear tire on my SG; amazing difference.
