outlandish? these are opinions of the E-IIIs of others that was shared with me. I have never used the tire, I have had very good service from the 402s and see no reason to change if that is outlandish than so be it.
If you'll go back and read my replies to you I think you'll find that I did not criticize your opinions of the D402, as they are just that, your opinions and you have a right to them. What seems outlandish to me are your claims based on a conversation with your "tire guy." It is without any description or examples and is contrary to the vast majority of feedback I've seen. Your statements that "nobody likes them" and "no mileage out of the tire" are simply false, as many like them and most find that they wear very well, including me. Wear is not a subjective opinion when comparing to other tires under the same conditions.

The E3 was designed originally to address complaints from Gold Wing owners about low tire life with the tire options they had at the time. They caught on with the GW crowd and this enthusiasm has spread to the Harley community as well as those for metric cruisers. You say you know of others who share your opinions of the E3, but you said you've never run them, and also don't provide any links or descriptions of the problems these people found with the tire. Do you not understand the problem I and some others have with these claims? What did the other people you know dislike about them? Be specific. Just saying "they suck" simply won't work here for those of us who've run the tire and have found them to be a big improvement in all or most areas.
