Wow cops are cool, like the gods of the road. Who really cares!!!!! Just do your meaningless job of writing tickets and get on with it, someday if you are lucky you might get a real job. Most cops are pretty much losers who got turned down by walmart so they had no other choice. The funny thing is they all have to let you know their cops like its some big deal, oh sorry you are the greatest. Just look at this site for example...cool badge avatars, cool loser stories, i really don't get what the big deal is cause most people don't much care for these losers, instead of catching criminals these heros hide out to catch real criminals like someone doing 10mph over the speed limit. Heros..LOL!! I think I can pretty much take care of things myself so that will give all of you a little more time to look for cars with no front plate or tinted windows so you can impress all the little people in the world. Lets see what this brings out from all our heros and by the way if you pull me over just keep your mouth shut and do what you are so highly trained to do which is fill in the blanks on a piece of paper!!!!
[sm=WTFsgign.gif] You sound like a troll [sm=shutup.gif]

I'm definately no LEO and I've had my share of tickets. One I definately didn't deserve but that's besdie the point. I still have the upmost respect for them. You are way out of line with those comments.

Professional courtesy is just another perk of the job IMO !!! It would take a lot for me to write a cop, firefighter, nurse, doctor, etc. It's a small world and you never know when you may need those people.
what are you saying that a mechanic or a welder is just another scumbag? well, I guess only if you don't need them, right?

with that thinking it's exactly whythe mechanic would charge the doctor or policeman morefor the same brake job. that's mechanic's courtesy.

does courtesy mean that cops, firefighters, nurses, and doctors are above the law? what about justice for all? I have never heard such a bunch of discriminating crap in my whole life.

He never said anything about mechanics,welders or anyone being above the law. You threw that in there. Ripping people off is not a courtesy, it'sstealing.Youcall it disciminitaion, somerefer to it as courtesy. I prefer to think of it as discretion, which all LEOs are allowed to use. You should bemore concerned about the rich and famous getting out of doing jail time thana LEO not issuing a ticket. Everyone, at onetime or another,knowingly breaks the law, so I guessthat means that everyone thinks they areabove the law.

I don't see much point in making the same quote twice, but what he said was, "It would take a lot for me to write a cop, firefighter, nurse, doctor, etc. It's a small world and you never know when you may need those people.".

I am not throwing anything in there. That is discrimination, not discretion,my friend.

Wow.......you jealous, cuz the only time you can exude any authority is from behind the safety of your keyboard?

If you think all cops do is write tickets, try watching "The 1st 48 Hours" on Court TV. About once a week they are in KCMO following detectives as they work the homicide scene. You might learn something......but then again, it sounds like you already know everything.

Nice scoot, btw.

Well, that made for some entertaining reading. I would not cite another officer for a simple traffic violation. However, don't ever put me in a position to deal with you as a drunk driver. I have arranged for a fair number of them to be given a ride home but I can think of at least two in my career that have been arrested and I particpated in that. Both of those involved other motorists or officers and I was left with no choice. So shame on the offending officer for putting me in that situation. And, I extend the same consideration to firemen, EMT's and hospital personnel. I never know which day they might be the ones trying to plug leaks in my body. Military personnel will get a break from me whenever possible, also. And don't badge me! I hate that!

I've never been given a ticket I didn't deserve, and I've also gotten out of a few over the years. As for professional courtesy, it happens pretty much in EVERY proffession. If an employee of, say, a Chevy, Toyota, or VW dealer comes up to my parts counter to purchase something for their own Ford product, guess what? I give the a break on the price. Do I do that for everyone else? Maybe once in a blue moon but otherwise no. I also give a break on price to any LEOs or firemen that buy from me. Why? Who knows? Maybe I'll get some good kharma. Maybe because I want to. 'Course, if an LEO or fireman or other dealer emplyee gives me an attitude, the ph*%k 'em. Full retail with a smile. Proffessional courtesy happens in every business everywhere. If y'all don't like that little fact, tough ****. Get over it.

as you all know my earlier post about the donuts was a joke, the truth of the matter isI never got a ticket that I didn't deserve, I once had 9 reckless driving tickets in 6 months.[:-]deserved every one of them. but what I said about not getting any tickets in a long, long time, well, that is true..Been stopped a few times, once doing 88 in a 55 zone by a lady state trooper, had my 12 year old grand-daughter with me..on memorial day weekend to top it off..she let me off with a warning..got to love 12 year olds in full leather wearing a helmet that tells the trooper, my grand-pa never goes fast, but he is taking me for chicken nuggets..anyway she didn't even write me a warning.. As she walked back to her car I did tell her she looked stunning in her uniform, and she did..what I do when stopped is right up front tell the officer, got me speeding didn't you, sometimes the look on their face is priceless, anyway I always act with respect, chat with him, let him know I'm a regular guy. never ask for a break, that is his decision to make not mine..usually when they come back from running me and find I'm a good guy, clean and all, it is usually a well, you been riding long enough to know not to do that, have a nice day..by the way I never call them sir, usually officer will do, and when they call me sir I always ask them to just call me Joe, after all we are going to be friends for a long time I will have your autograph and you will have mine..Never insult the officers, or their job, never make Wise *** remarks about donuts and donut shops..sometimes a little story to amuse them, but never about police or state troopers though.once back in the 70s a police officers asked me what my hurry was, told him my wife was having a baby, he said, with a funny look on his face, when?? I said in about 9 months if I get home in time, he cracked up and laughed, still gave me a ticket, by the way I was speeding, so if all else fails accept your ticket and go on with your life, crap happens, just don't make a habit of it.
