Default Cam sprocket alignment? Oil pump alignment?

I am measuring the cam sprocket alignment as per the book after installing the SE255 cams. I found that the rear cam sprocket is .020 lower than the crank sprocket. The book says no more than .010. How many of you guys checked this? Did you leave it or make the adjustment? Also, did you align, center, the oil pump? I dont have the centering tools. I spun the engine with the bolts loose then tightened them. Is that proceedure what you used? If not... I'd like to do it right but want to drive an hour to the dealer next week. Should have waited for the snow to fall.

You definately want .020 thicker spacer. You should be okay aligning your pump that way. Newer style pumps are tighter tolerances and you don't really need the alignment pins. Assuming this is on your '09.

I DEFINITELY checked mine and shimmed accordingly. As for the oil pump alignment, like Lonewolf said, spinning the back wheel is sufficient, I just used oil pump alignment screws because I had access to them.
