NKP Thailand, 1970. I was at an RV store about 2 years ago when I first had someone say thank you and welcome home. At first, the guy was so overtly sincere, I thought he was screwing with me. When I realized he was being honestly sincere I didn't know how to handle it. It still gets to me once in a while.
Thank you and welcome home.
May no other era of vets ever have to be concerned about acknowledgeing their service.
I was only 9 when the politicians said the war was over. I will tell you that I have always has the utmost respect for our veterans, and because of my age I have felt a closer bond to our Viet Nam vets. Thank you for your service and glad you are home. I pray someday everyone will make it home from all wars
This is going to be my first Veterans Day in many decades that I won't be spending with a fellow vet, my father. I know I'm gonna get misty-eyed. He died in January. Memorial Day was hard too.
